D.A.C. C.C.U.S. EXTENSION OF THE HYDROGEN WELL

Unexpected applications of a technology are not only interesting but sometimes exciting. According to my research, a high concentration sodium hydroxide solution will not only direct air capture CO2, but can be used to clean water and makes heavy metals less soluble.

So, tanks being filled with polluted water, saturated with sodium hydroxide, electrolyzed out of hydrogen and oxygen while gradually bicarbonating, can then precipitate the heavy metals and other pollutants. The sodium bicarbonate is eventually removed and used as a product, and fresh sodium hydroxide brought in to keep the process going. What this means is you have built in Direct Air Capture CCUS (Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage.

The only requirement is to have the solution exposed to air.  The reactions can be enhanced with small circulation rotors to keep energy and component costs down.
